What is APPAS?
APPAS (Automated Polymer Property Analysis System) is a computational tool designed for automated copolymer design, structure generation, and property analysis. APPAS enables researchers to build complex polymer structures from monomer units using SMILES notation and automatically calculates key molecular properties.
How It Works
- Define Monomers: Input your monomer structures using SMILES notation with connection points (
*or[R]) - Build Sequence: Specify the polymer sequence by selecting monomers and defining the number of units
- Structure Generation: APPAS automatically connects monomers and generates the 3D polymer structure
- Property Analysis: The system calculates molecular weight, radius of gyration, and other structural properties
- Results: Download structure files (PDB, MOL) and property reports for further analysis
